At the heart of our machine lies a powerful drum unit equipped with 54 specially hardened steel blades.

• The Knife System Difference: While standard finger systems beat and crush the stems, the knife system cuts and slices them. This technology shreds the stem fibers, resulting in straw that is soft and fine like cotton. It produces straw that preserves nutritional value and does not strain the digestive systems of cattle and sheep.

1800mm Width and High Work Capacity

The 1800 mm wide hydraulic front pickup collects swaths or scattered stalks from the field without missing a spot. With a capacity of 2 Tons (2200 kg) of straw per hour, the NCK-03 SM successfully processes Wheat, Barley, Oats, Rye, Soybean, Maize (Corn), and Alfalfa stems. Thanks to the knife system, it works without clogging even on hard-stemmed crops like maize.

Robust Chassis and Transmission

The 1800 kg heavy-duty steel chassis and wide 10.0/75-15.3 tires ensure stability in rough field conditions. It transmits power from the tractor PTO (540 rpm) to the blades via a special gearbox system. It offers fuel efficiency with a minimum power requirement of 48 HP.

1. What is the advantage of the Knife (Chopper) System?

The knife system chops the stems by cutting rather than beating. This results in straw that is much finer, softer, and more homogeneous. Finely chopped straw is eaten more appetizingly by animals and is easier to digest, which positively reflects on meat and milk yield.

2. Do the blades get dull, and are they easy to replace?

Our blades are manufactured from heat-treated steel and are resistant to wear. However, they may dull over time (especially in stony fields). Our blades use a bolted system, allowing them to be easily removed, sharpened, or replaced even in the field.

3. Can it make straw from maize (corn) stalks?

Yes. This is the biggest plus of the knife system. Thanks to its powerful blades, it easily shreds and turns even hard-structured maize, soybean, and alfalfa stalks into straw without difficulty.
